                  Ceremonies of The Message in Lisbon, Portugal November 12, 2006       



Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share with you another wonderful experience in Red Bluff Park
yesterday!  It was our usual last-Saturday-of-the-month activity on the land--which
usually includes lots of chatting, having a BBQ together and ceremonies.  We were
curious to see who would join us after our big event last week.

Even before the BBQ was set up, new people began to arrive at the park!  Of us
"oldies", there were Aron Ashley, Trudi, Jorge, Bill, Ken, Mary and myself.  By the
time the sausages were ready--12 new friends from Red Bluff had joined us--6 of
whom were completely new to the park!   This is the very first time that us "oldies"
were actually outnumbered by new friends from the area.  Before beginning with the
ceremony of well being--we sat in a big circle to introduce ourselves.  There was a
very warm current of joy circulating among us--something indescribable but distinctly
there.  And I could feel in each person, a strong desire to connect with all of us, and
a strong search to feel connected.  It was truly what Silo coined a few years ago: "a
new sensibility. "

Besides these 12 friends, another 6 people drove by a various times during the
day-- many of them to read our Park sign and to view the Monolith.  One guy
brought his girlfriend by, because he had helped put the monolith up and was
extremely proud of it.  Several local people came by because they read about the
Park in the newspaper.  It was such a joy to watch them, from a distance, as they
got out of their car to go over the touch the monolith.  One final young woman came
by at the advice of her ex-husband, because she actually uses the shape of a
cylinder in her meditation practice and her "ex" suggested she come out a see a
"real" steel cylinder.  She was completely delighted.  She couldn't believe that such a
thing was occurring in Red Bluff.

There has been so much interest, in fact, that we now see the need to have a
physical presence in Red Bluff every weekend.  Something new is happening there
and somehow people are responding to our presence.   Many people arrive to us,
wanting to help in any way they can.  It is very evident that they are searching for
and in deep need of connection. Something completely new is beginning to take off
here and I so immensely grateful to everyone who have helped the park become a
reality.  

It is changing all of us.

Hola a todos:

Solo quería compartir con Uds. otra maravillosa experiencia en Red Bluff Park ayer!
Tuvimos nuestra actividad mensual del último sábado del mes en nuestro terreno -
que usualmente incluye mucha conversación, una parrillada y ceremonias.  
Teníamos curiosidad por ver quienes llegarían después de nuestro gran evento la
semana pasada.

Antes que instaláramos la parrilla comenzó a llegar gente al Parque!  Los "viejos"
que estábamos éramos Aaron, Trudi, Jorge, Bill, Mary y yo.  Cuando ya las
salchichas estaban listas, 12 nuevos amigos de Red Bluff habían llegado -6 de ellos
totalmente nuevos!  Esta es la primera vez que el número de "viejos" fue superado
por el de los nuevos amigos del área.  Antes de comenzar las ceremonia de
Bienestar nos sentamos en un gran círculo a presentarnos.  Había una calida
correntada de alegría que circulaba entre nosotros -algo indescifrable pero
claramente presente.  Yo podía sentir en cada persona el deseo de conectarse con
todos nosotros, un fuerte deseo de sentirse conectados.  Fue verdaderamente lo
que Silo definió hacen algunos años: "una nueva sensibilidad".

Además de los 12 amigos nuevos, otras 6 personas pasaron en auto en distintos
momentos del día -muchos de ellos, para leer el cartel del Parque y para mirar el
Monolito.  Un tipo trajo a su novia, porque él había ayudado a instalar el Monolito y
esta extremadamente orgulloso de ello.  Varios de los lugareños vinieron porque
leyeron sobre el parque en el diario.  Fue una gran alegría mirarlos a la distancia
cuando se bajaban de sus autos para acercarse a tocar el Monolito.  La última que
llego, una mujer joven, venia por consejo de su ex-marido -porque ella utiliza la
forma de un cilindro en sus prácticas de meditación y su "ex" le sugirió que viniera a
ver un cilindro de acero "real".  Estaba deleitada!  No podía creer que tal cosa esté
ocurriendo en Red Bluff.  

Ha habido tanto interés, de hecho, estamos viendo la necesidad de que haya
presencia física en Red Bluff todos los fines de semana.  Algo nuevo está
ocurriendo allí y la gente está respondiendo a nuestra presencia.  Mucha gente
viene a nosotros deseando ayudar en cualquier forma que puedan.  Es muy
evidente que están en busca y profundamente necesitados de una conexión.  Algo
completamente nuevo esta partiendo aquí y yo estoy inmensamente agradecida a
todos quienes han ayudado a que este parque se convierta en realidad.  

Esto nos esta cambiando a todos.
